THE ORCA RIDER

THE ORCA GEOMETRY

Orca Racing Geometry is born from 100 years of design. Its a perfected balance of responsiveness and stability.

The position is aggressive to maximise body aerodynamics and efficiency. Handling is superb, both precise and intuitive.

The angles and dimensions are all considered across sizes to ensure more power on the road no matter the riders measurement. That means every rider has the chance to deliver more power and more speed.

SMOOTHNESS

External forces like terrain and road surface have an effect on both control and traction. To control the forces the Orca have refined the seat stays, reducing the cross sections and diameter and creating a thinner tubing so to smooth the road feel without compromising the rigidity. The natural flex patterns created by the carbon layout and minimal bulk of the top tube and seat stays delivers a dynamic smooth ride. The sensation of floating over the road is the result.

CARBON

Speaking of carbon ... Orca uses the most technologically advanced carbon construction in its most sophisticated frameset.

Orca M20 Team model features Orbea's OMR (Orbea Monocoque Race) carbon fiber construction, which represents Orbea's top tier frames. It utilizes the most meticulous blend of high-modulus, low and standard carbon fiber to reach an optimum balance of performance, durability, and weight. This works out to create an ultra-lightweight frame with a voracious appetite for racing

Time consuming layering processes and the use of lazer cut prepeg carbon sheets translate into a frame that offers its rider both stiffness and smoothness. That means you can spend longer more satisfying hours on the saddle.

DYNAMIC STRUCTURAL STIFFNESS

The large majority of torsional and lateral loads are handles by the lower spine of the frame. The headtube, downtube and chainstays are shaped to resist twisting and transmit power to the rear of the wheel. There is no doubt about it, large cross-sections and resistance flex in the bottom of the frame translate directly to more watts on the road and a sensation of instantaneous power transfer.
