Stratos sports the new S-LENS VZUM ™ ultra-lightweight polycarbonate interchangeable lenses developed by Alba Optics with one goal: to provide athletes with the ultimate visual experience in all weather conditions and on all terrains. The full coverage of the S-LENS VZUM ™ lenses allows an unobstructed and complete view of your environment. A central vent in the lens allows heat and steam to escape before it can cloud your vision. The frame secures the interchangeable lens with a simple interlocking system. To allow you to adapt STRATOS to each face, the frame is both telescopic and adjustable in 4 different positions.

The state-of-the-art photocromatic sun lenses.

The VZUM™ SF-LENS technology is an interchangeable photochromatic lens that adapts itself to the intensity of the light present in the environment. It automatically changes colour, shielding off harmful UV rays of any sort. Their temporary transformation takes place in a short period of time, gradual and independent of any atmospheric factors. The optical strain is reduced to a minimum and the lenses remain active even on a cloudy day.

The photochromic molecules are directly embedded in the mass of the polymer for an excellent quality and maximum resistance.

Laurent Fignon, The Professor, wins the Giro d’Italia in 1989 only a few months before the fall of the Berlin Wall. Computers make their way into homes and offices. Gianni Bugno makes people dream. Miguel Indurain becomes the last of the biggest champions. It is the beginning for a Russian, Berzin, and the only time for the pirate, Pantani, who is responsible for a rebirth in the passion for Italian cycling.

The material of the frames is Tr90, made from nylon and carbon fiber, organically compatible and safe to the skin, even after a prolonged use. It is 20% lighter that other conventional materials and it offers more protection against crashes and tractions. It provides a high resilience without deformation when exposed to high temperatures, after being bent, it reverts to its original shape.

The glasses wearability allows a perfect vision when shifting your eyes from the pedals to the road. This particular aspect enables the athlete to stay focused on his performance without interferences.  The temples are strong and guarantee to stay put even in case of shocks or sudden head movements.
