Why is the Classified Powershift Different?

The Powershift is a wireless 2-speed rear hub. Why is that special? Because this innovative system does away with the need for a front derailleur. That means if you've an existing single chainring or are considering an upgrade, you can inquire about the Classified wheelsets.

The Powershift has the simplicity of a 1x drivetrain with all the benefits of a 2x system. What really marks it out is the superfast, wireless shifting which enables the rider to change gear instantly, even under full load.

Who uses Classified Wheels?

Under development for the past seven years, Belgian start-up Classified finally launched the ground-breaking piece of kit to market in 2021 to rave reviews, with the backing of former world champion cyclist Tom Boonen.

Is the Classified Powershift System good for Sydney conditions?

For Sydney riders, the Classified Powershift hub also offers a marginal weight saving with the loss of the front derailleur and inner chainring. These aero gains are sure to appeal to time trialists, and a more precise and efficient chain line. But they'll also appeal to local Sydney riders who've respect for new market entries that will increase their performance and lose weight for the hills.

Which Classified Wheels are suitable for me?

The CF G30, is the gravel wheel, built to withstand the most challenging adventures while keeping the wheels light and stiff to increase ride comfort.

The CF R35 & R50 are 2 road wheels designed to be race ready.

The CF R35 is the perfect all-rounder, finding an optimal balance between stiffness, aerodynamics and weight. These Classified powershift options are your perfect companion when riding coastal mountains or powering through the roughest Australian roads.

The CF R50 is a deep section wheel with a rim depth of 50mm. Highly aerodynamic and stiff, while still being comfortable to ride.

All rear wheels are laced around a Classified hubshell to fit a POWERSHIFT hub. The hub can easily be separated from the hubshell, allowing you to use multiple wheelsets in combination with a single POWERSHIFT hub. Slide any wheelset equipped with a Classified hubshell over your hub to suit the terrain of your choice.
